Im also encountering the same problem, eqemu patch cant find patchsrv.dat.
Ive read a few posts about this problem, im running windows xp, which may be the problem, firewall is disabled.
Ive followed the tutorial for getting eqemu to work, everything fine, until i run patch.exe. So i installed MDAC. Still no luck.

I dont know if anyone has tried, but if someone who got patch.exe to work okay and downloaded patchsrv.dat perhaps they could upload it somewhere, where we can download it and maybe it will work for us poor fools who get the missing patchsrv.dat error.
I doubt it work, but its worth a try if it hasnt already been tried.

That error comes around from failing to connect to the server. The file that it is missing is one that you download. If you can't download it, it won't download the patch, even if you have it on the computer.

Patch from another internet location. Some internet proxy or firewall on your computer or your ISP is keeping you from connecting.
