CVS login failed

as per the instructions for someone elses post I tried to get the cvs but when I typed in the following command...

cvs -d:pserver:anonymous@cvs.sourceforge.net:/cvsroot/eqemu login

it then asked for a password... I tried both a blank password and an email address both give me the following response...

cvs [login aborted]: end of file from server (consult above messages if any)

any help would again be appreciated

works fine for me..

regardless of the error message, try both lines..

(then -z3 co NightDumps)

silux 05-08-2003 06:38 AM

says can't get module

is the module not eqemu or something?

Trumpcard 05-08-2003 06:39 AM

No, the module name is 'NightDumps'

silux 05-08-2003 07:23 AM

Still problems... sorry

root@silux bin # cvs -d:pserver:anonymous@cvs.sourceforge.net:/cvsroot/eqemu co NightDumps
cvs [checkout aborted]: end of file from server (consult above messages if any)

thats what I typed in and what I got back...

Trumpcard 05-08-2003 07:25 AM

dkiser@denial dkiser $ cvs -d:pserver:anonymous@cvs.sourceforge.net:/cvsroot/eqemu co NightDumps
? NightDumps/EQEMu Release/.new.db.sql
cvs server: Updating NightDumps
cvs server: Updating NightDumps/EQEMu Release

as you can see, working fine for me... not sure, maybe a connection issue. can you connect to any other cvs repositories...

would a router screw it up?

I have a router set up is there a port I can forward through?

Trumpcard 05-08-2003 02:40 PM

no idea... look on sourceforges site, they might have something about it in one of their FAQ's

cvs [checkout aborted]: end of file from server

Thats Sf's roundrobin timing out just retry a couple times or wait awhile they host ALOT of stuff

silux 05-09-2003 04:37 PM

WOOT

thanks I guess that was the case... I just need to be more patient and try the server at a slower time apparently :-) thanks again.
