How can I deterimine what mobs are available in a zone

How can I deterimine what mobs are available in a zone? Is there an easy way? There are way too many combinations for #spawn to do it. I was trying to take one zone (Oasis) and see what all the mobs that could be there were, I didn't ever find the giants or spiders or orcs.

Well,

To figure out which mobs are currently up(is this what you want?) in a zone you need to type "#listnpcs 0." Now I doubt that is what you ment as I believe you want to know which mobs are actually in the database (which might include extras that are not spawned atm) and the only way to do that is to crack open the SQL database and check it out. Maybe another way but I don't know of it.

I really want to go further

Thanks for the info, that will be useful

But what I really would like goes beyond the database to what the zone supports. I assume that the database only has what people have decided to include, which may or may not include all the mobs the zone contains.

As I work on my emu I have complied a list of npc textures that can be used in each zone.

I need to find them then upload them.
I think I only have freeport / e & w commons / befallen / lavastorm / solb

How did you find all the combinations?

How did you find all the combinations? Trial and Error? Packet sniffing? EQInside? :) Luck :) ?
