good old 1017 msg
 

I can get to server selection screen but i click on one and it freezes and i can use desktop mouse for a min then it has the 1017 msg and when i run patcher it says Missing File : discard.log what do i do? :(

Patch to eqlive, then run eqemu patcher again.

Run your everquest.exe executable. It will patch to the live version of everquest. When it finishes, run the patcher shortcut on your desktop. It will patch you to eqemu's version of everquest. When running the patcher shortcut on your desktop, if you have any missing files besides discard.log, post them here and I will tell you what they mean.

If you are hosting your own server, open up the eqemu files from the eqemu folder you made and post all .ini files.

If you are not hosting your own server, don't do the step above.

it still says the missing file discard.log and i ran the everquest.exe what do i do now?

i'm having the same problem with the error message.
i've ran live and replaced eqhost.txt and then ran the patcher and it said i am missing quite a few files , some of which, i know i have.. like eqhost.txt or EverQuest.exe, but then at the bottom it says All Files ok for EqEmu

edit:i unpatched eqemu in the wrong directory.. it works now :)

1017 error. I have a huge list of missing files when i run the eqemu patcher. I've done everything correctly. I've connected to EQemu many times in the past.

Huge list of missing files?? Are they all included in the "missing files" link from my sig? If so, follow those directions.

I found it best when it says missing fill discard.log to just make yer own

My eqemu runs just fine that waay
