How do i fix bouncing NPCs?

I am using drawdes db and there are many guards/vendors/mobs bouncing.

Lets say in front of me is a bouncing elf guard. What are the steps to fix him?

As i know is the bouncing the product of a wrong z-axis if you correct the z-axis of the mob's Spawn Point he will stop bouncing around

Using eqemu admin tool 4.6 and changing the z-axis of a specific guard that bounced shows no effect.

But i am wondering - trying to change the gridpath is possible for a mob in the tool i.e. "1" but not changing it back to "0" or example.
The same prob with spawns...they appear on the minimap inside the tool but not ingame.

One way to fix the bouncing spawn is:

1. Summon spawn to the palce you want him/her. ("#summon" with mob targeted).
2. Add spawn ("#npcspawn add" with mob targeted). This creates a clone of the bouncing mob.
3. Rinse and repeat for all the mobs you want to fix.
4. Zone out. Then zone back in.
5. Go around and delete all the bouncing mobs. You should be left with only the cloned mobs.

If you hotkey summon, npcspawn remove and add then this can be done in a relatively short period of time. I've fixed entire zones in less than an hour.

I've done that too, but the problem I've encountered is that it makes the npcs respawn WAY too fast. That's an easier problem to fix outside the game then the bouncing, however.

Oh, one more thing. Make sure you're the same height or smaller then the npc you're adding. If you're taller than the npc (ie, you're an ogre summoning and adding a halfling) then they will still bounce. It takes your coordinates and uses them as the npc's when you summon them, so if you're taller your z-axis will be higher, therefore making the npc you summon appear in the air, causing the bouncing to happen again.
