Games Windowed

Are there any tutorials or open source projects which allow a game to be runned windowed?

Lately a bunch of these games are staying fullscreened and won't allow alt+tab and/or don't allow windowed mode. I've been trying to find ways to get by this, checking out the client to see if theres a hidden option.

The command tag "-w" used to work when added to the icon's target window.
