Gnomes will be able to be SKs and Paladins in upcoming patch
Verant has said that Gnomes are going to be able to be SKs and Paladins in the next patch. Do we already know that race/class limitations are client side, or do we not yet know exactly how it works?
Perhaps with a little bit of study between operations of the two versions during character creation with ShowEQ, we could figure out how to edit the servers to allow for any race/class combo we want on our server (or how to limit these options). |
I think that would be super cool. and extremely helpful. Possibly with scripts to modify certain attributes? eg. If a person wanted to make a ninja class, they could make a master sensei npc wander arround and script in Quests to make them a ninja. No client side modifications are required this way.

Been working on custom classes for about 2 weeks myself.
LONG LIVE GNOMES! ;) |
can make ogre monks if you edit db race/class
|
Yeah you can make and race/class combo manually.. but in the client it is all controlled by the client =(.

Oh yeah, the Vah Shir can't either. |
Remember there is a #permarace and #permaclass command now. so you can have ANY (i mean ANYYYYY) race/class combo you want.. just make any race/class u want with whatever stats/deity/name combo you wish, then customize the char using race and class commands.

Is there a way to make an NPC issue that command Shawn?
|
....
am i the only one think that verant is running out of ideas so they start to give more classe options to some races? so people might play more?
|
I agree with Razzle:
commands (to add?) for QST files: SET_SKILL -- set the skill for the user GIVE_ITEM -- give an item GIVE_MONEY -- give money SET_CLASS SET_RACE I know there is a #setskill, #permarace, etc... command but regular users cannot or should not have access to these commands to maintain game balance (obviously). :) |
