Thanks to ya'll and everyone else here for the help trying to get this to run. :lol: I had a ton of fun learning something new and fighting with a router with far to few options. LOL!

But after last night, I'm going to abandon trying to get this to work. My trouble ended up being in MySql. Bad install or something cause I kept getting progressively worse errors that Norton couldn't fix. Culminated last night with not even being able to boot in SafeMode and having to do a complete reformat. Ouch. Some other people in the House with school work not happy with me :oops: (BACKUP people LOL) I don't know what I did, but the PC was NOT happy with me hehe.

Anyway, I just wanted to thank everyone on these boards for their time and say this is a really cool project. I wish I could have got it to work, but RL time committments/relationships won't afford me risking another comp reinstall.

Im trying to set up a world server myself. After three days I ended up reformatting and just now got everything loaded back on my comp. I will attempt to reformat and install windows xp on second comp and go at it again. I am hoping that the readme for windows xp is going to set me up with a live server. Unlike the one for windows 98 which failed to work after hundreds of read posts and loading programs, changing files ect. Grats to all who have accomplished what you have with ewemu. I hope I can host a server soon. I have plenty of computer power to host a really nice server. good luck to you all.

I dont want a private lan server, I want a live server that anyone can join from using eqemu. Thank you.

Can I run a live server from a client computer on a network?
If not, what is the best way to set up a live server on windows 98?
What programs do I have to use to have a successful live server.
Does the readme for windows xp really work if I follow it step by step for running a live server on eqemu?
