ok i got it to work, but there is still a problem
 

Ok i got EQEmu to work and all, but when i come up to the server selection page there are 3 in green ( does that mean anything?) 2 of em were down, so i tired the tird one, and when i clicked to selcet that server, it started to act like it was going to work, and then it just went to a blank screen and i had to CTRL+ALT+DEL out of it.

Im sorry aobut my ?'s im just still learning.

ok i think i figured it out, but that lead me to another problem. i keep gettin this error.

I patched the game today right when the patch came out and everyhting. btw here is what my Loginserver.ini looks like:

I have the feeling that you have 2 problems there.

Unfortuneatly the 1st issue is dwarfed out by the second.

If you patched the real game this am them from what I am seeing you will not be able to play using the Emu till a new version is sorted.

Once that is sorted you may be able to find out what the first problem is that you have ..... If you have a backup of the Everquest Directory from yesterday ... then go back to that and try to get the whole thing running again without doing todays patch..

OK im dumb, i looked at the DL that was done of my EQEmu, and its the wrong version. * Note to self: Kill Self for being dumb*

THe only thing i really need to know is how to figure out my REAL IP address.

OK heres an new update:

I got it to work, everything i can get to the server selection page, etc. When i click to go to my server, it goes to a black screen and i lose response. i think it may have to do with my IP addy. i just put 127.0.0.1 in. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

if you patched your everquest client this morning, then you are temporarily out of luck.
i dont think the emulator works with todays patch.

This is caused by one or both of two things:

1. You left worldaddress blank in loginserver.ini (this needs to have your real IP. if your using minilogin it needs to be 127.0.0.1 or localhost.

2. You didnt add or use the correct loginport= in loginserver.ini

get the new loginserver.ini in the 0.2.5 zip.

in windows 9x to get your ip address. click on START > RUN then type in winipcfg. this will bring it up for you.

yes and for NT/2000/XP, Start-> Run-> CMD

this brings up dos prompt.. type ipconfig and hit enter
