my name is too long, wont fit in name area so i get username/password bad messages
also my patcher says it cannont connect to the patch server
yes i do have the right eqhost file
am noob to eqemu so i only have the current eq live files, so i really need to run the patcher.

please i need shorter name so i can log in, jaia or jaiav will work

wonders if he will ever get to play eqemu....god forbid playing eq live

Nope, they are switching back to the method where you just wait idly for the next eqemu.

You'll learn your lessons quickly, and back up your folder once you are capable of playing.

If you want to run a server, you could practice with some of the tools. What you could do, is install mysql and get familiar with using it. You can use the mysql server, and edit items and doors and the like, all without having a working client. It may not be useful because you can't see it to play with it. But you could get 3 weeks ahead on your work when the project DOES catch up.

what to make a server? i just want to play. my connection cant handle being a server

You can play on your own computer by yourself if you want. If you just want to play, you have to wait.

Correction: you have to wait either way. But you can start a server that you can't play on...
