Crashing after entering name/pass
 

after entering name and password it crashes to desktop, does anyone know a solution to this problem?

Are you using eqw or everquest.exe or eqgame.exe patchme? Give me more info.

Is there an error message to this crash?

just regular eqgame w/ patchme, no error message, just crashes to desktop and eq closes right when u press enter on the login screen

you probably dont have the currect patch files, and before you reply there is no way you can get them before the new patcher is released.

Hey I also just started gettin this prob


But still no luck... Using the patchme method it crashes with no warning, using EQW it says eqgame.exe has encountered an error and needs to shut down, blah blah blah...
Hmm... mine only started recently ... any ideas?


No wait ... got it - all ya gotta do is recopy your whole EQ / EQEMU folder back , but leave eqhost.txt alone!

Not sure how you patched - I thought patcher was still down....

Are you sure you didn't just patch to eqlive?

no, they have the current files, i copied my folder to another pc so that my friend and i could both play, but it did this when he tried to log in
