For those who have a server up and running question for you
Does anyone know why a zone server would do an automatic shutdown after receiving a SyncWorldTime and then sending a Time Broadcast packet?
My zone appears to load ok (no errors) it does a zone bootup, defaults the weather, receives a SyncWorldTime from the client and sends a Time broadcast Packet, then does an automatic shutdown. Love what you guys are doing here looking forward to being a part of it. |
We need you emu version and addon database, odds are it's a DB error or the client crashed.

Oops
I tried responding to my own post last night but I kept getting a page can't be displayed sorry about that.
I found that it wasn't the zone server it was just doing what it's suppose to, it was the world server that disconnected the the client after the time broadcast packet command. My Emu version is 0.4.4-DR1, I have verified that my client works by logging on to a couple of servers that do work. I used the base DR1 db and update then added items, books and the doors for north freeport only. I will undo the doors except one and see what happens thanks for the reply, now that I know it wasn't the zone server I fear it is a db problem and dread mining through it =) oh well thanks again. |
Doesn't look like a db problem
I have reduced my db to as bare minimum as I can, it has one account, zone password in the variables table, the zone info for the one zone I want to start with and its zone raw data, and still the world server disconnects the client when it sends a time broadcast packet.
Don't know what to do now but wait for 0.4.5 and see if I have better luck. |
I'm in
I had the second IP half of the zone bat port routing set to 127.0.0.1 instead of that computers internal ip address, basicaly everywhere you have to set an IP address I have to use that computers actual IP address the localhost and 127.0.0.1 botch it all up.
Sorry for the multiple posts of rambling. |
