Can't get in game with client after I create a new item
Hi,
Has anyone experienced this: I've had problems getting past character selection, sometimes I can get on immediately, sometimes after a couple of attempts but now after I've created my first GM item, I can't get past character selection/creation unless I create a fresh account. No error messages just a straight crash to the desktop. I've had my server up about a day (off and on to reload database etc.) Also I notice that I crash occasionally on #spellcast then have difficulty getting back on at times. If you want to see my server & client specs, they are here on this original post when I was trying to track this problem down blindly: http://forums.eqemu.net/viewtopic.php?t=7639 I've isolated it to when something changes to the database, i.e. creating a new item. I can't pinpoint it any closer than that. Currently am using 44dr1 world and zone, npcmov_alpha_0_0_3 and world 1.1 database. Despite this, others seem to be able to log in, so why is my client machina so fickle? Here is what dbg.txt reports back: [Fri Jul 18 23:51:44 2003]00482:EnterZone complete.
