Little help please!!!
I currently am patched to the most recent version that EQLive uses. My understanding (from the front page) is that they have set up a few servers for those patched to EQLive and are working on setting it up for those who are running EQEmu (not Live.)
If this is true... I copied what Edgar posted in the forums about the login in thinger: [Registration Servers] { "eqlogin1.eqemu.net:5997" } [Login Servers] { "eqlogin1.eqemu.net:5997" } I put that into my eqhost file... but I searched through my EQEmu folder (like you said I made an opposite folder for EQEmu) and couldn't find Login.ini? Could someone please walk me step by step on how I could connect to one of the servers running EQLive, I'm not a total newb (few certificates) but I want to make sure I don't F this up. All help is appreciated, thanks. |
The "login thinger" you are looking for is "eqhost.txt".
Read more, post less. Regards, krich |

I did put that into my eqhost file, don't tell me to read more... I was wondering how do I actually get into the EQEmu login? I remember from a little while back where you had to put "patch me" or something like that at the end of a command line? Could someone who actually knows what they're talking about help me? |
Avoid patching that eqhost.txt file every time you run everquest.exe by running this command:
eqgame.exe patchme If you want to create a shortcut on your desktop, right click your eqgame.exe file from the everquest folder, and send it to the desktop. Find the new shortcut on the desktop and right click it. Click properties. Set your target line up with quotes around everything. Put the quotes around everything first, then add patchme (without quotes) to the end. Target example: "C:\Program Files\Copy of Everquest\eqgame.exe" patchme The Start in setting should be your EQ folder. Don't change it if it is. Got it? |
That's exactly what I was looking for, thanks
