I got a new bug...and its a pain
 

Ok the new bug im speaking of is when i get too the server select screen and press enter when i choose the server my emu freezes and does nothing...but it releases the mouse...and then i have to close the program after...can anyone explain???

Post in general support forum next time. Are you using eqw?

if you had some patience and waited a few more seconds it would either go into the game, or go back to server selection and give you an error.

Odds are your connecting the wrong client version to the wrong server version, or you're connecting to a misconfigured server likely behind a firewall ect.

oh ok thx bigpull....and ya i got patience lol i let it sit for 15 mins too see if you were right...and it didnt connect but i fixed it now

Could you please post how you fixed the problem? Might be usefull for others having this problem :D

well what i did was....deleted the load files in my eq directory...along with eqgame and patched eq and got the latest eqwindow and it worked fine...and it froze for a sec then went into the server.

EQwindows was the problem. I ran into the same thing. I updated my EQwindows and I shot right in.

I just recently got this same problem, and I had read this thread before so I came straight to it to find the answer... but heh, I didn't use EQWindows before so I downloaded the latest version and went to character select, and, sure enough, I clicked "enter world" and it locked up, and other ideas as to what might be up? I'm going to go re-download eqgame and see if that will work but if it doesn't Jigga, what are the load files you're talking about, could you post them please?

Just finished redownloading the eqgame file, and that did not work either :cry:

It was working fine last night, any ideas now?

somefile synthusr.dls was the problem, just redownloaded that and all was fine
