A Message from a Total Idiot

;p maybe not....but now that I have you attention HELP!!!!

Here is the scoop.... I got the emulator to work (configured properly), and the the admin file, etc..etc..

However, I can't log on to your server no matter what I tried :/
I tried running minilog after making all the changes to try locally and I got no zones available.

I can't login to play on-line or play on my LAN....

Another thing ...is it me or does the launch of the emulator and EQ take more than 30-45 minutes?? I have a 450 mhz computer with more than 256+MEG RAM and an ATI Rage 128 connected behind a linksys router to cable. Is it normally that slow?

I also noticed that every time after closing the 5 zone pop-ups by click 'x' my computer simply crash and I have to reboot...is that common?

You guys are doing a wonderful job, and I am fully aware this is beta/freeware. Just to let you know I am willing, and I am sure others are, to pay for a commercial release of your project.

Er. Right, then.

Long boot time: don't have this problem myself
Manual kill of zone servers: don't have this problem either

I'd suggest cranking out taskmanager/performance mgr and watching what the servers are eating on your system. One thing right away is that if you are just using it yourself, you don't need 5 zone servers. I find 2-3 usually do the trick.

Configuring for localhost according to the details in the readme.txt file has (nearly) always worked.

I personaly havent had any problems with my system (p2 400) i can open up 5 zones with little trouble (never tryed more on this box)

Might wanna check your setup again. or check your line quality.

ATI Rage 128

there's your problem right there (lol, sorry ATi has decent hardware for the most part [i except the rage128 line from that statement] but really shitty drivers). In all seriousness, have you had any luck fixing this?
