Hmm, I know this is a stupid newbie question, but how do I get into the irc chat? Directions step by step would be nice if you could heh

Download an irc client from http://mirc.com

Install it.
If the mirc options dialog pops up then do the following, otherwise click file, options
On the connect category, click add

description: eqemulator
irc server: irc.eqemulator.net
Port: 6667

click add

Fill in Fullname/email address (you can put whatever you want to in these)

For nickname and alt nick, type in your desired nickname, note if its someone else's and you get a msg from nickserv you must pick another nickname. Click connect to irc server. If you have any problems see the post in the news forum titled "IRC".

It says that it is not able to connect...

connect retry #3 irc.eqemulator.net (6667)

Unable to resolve server

connect retry #4...
etc...

did I do something wrong, or...?

devn00b.eqemulator.net

ok i got it, now which channel do i join, it shows like 50 different channels and when i join them i am the only one, which is the one which everybody in it heh

#eqemu is a good place to start

How does one view all active channels? (with mIRC)
