well cause i saw my friend quest file and his was like numbered from 1 to 1000 or soo heeh like this

The best one is already on your computer. Its called 'Notepad' if your in Windows, or Vi/Emacs if yout on Linux. Type in the code, and save the file as ' All Files' and save it as (npcID).qst You get the npcID from the database, or its easier to get it from EQ Admin, which you can get off the files section of sf.

There is no "quest maker file" ATM, just follow meudar's advice :P
