Hmm.. Got it downloaded.. Sourced in a clean database, and used the binaries attached..

I can create a character.. but when i log in, i get some weird error..

I used the 4.4 released binaries before, and had no problems.. but i thought i'd give some moving npc's a go, and decided to test it out.. I should be able to play without modding my EQ files when i have played with 4.4 before right? The DR3 alpha exe files are supposed to work as long as i dont patch live, AND have played 4.4 from before.. right?

Strange tho.. Any tips for me?

THis is for 4.4 NOT 5.0, and DR3 alpha files are 5.0 so if your using 5.0 your SOL

Figured it out tho.. Was some DNS problem with the server not recognizing its own dns name.. (long time since i ran it..)

Fixed.. and i must say i love it so far :)

I noticed a small bug when I tried to give to an NPC some item. I got thrown out of EQ and into character select screen and Zone window closes.

This happened only on NPCs that were part of a quest file. That is I could give items fine in non Quest NPCs but when I gave anything to a quest NPC (didnt matter if it had or not the EVENT_ITEM on its .txt quest file), it just crashed.

It's a bug with 0.4.4DR4. Unless you want to fix it and compile it yourself, I'd suggest you try the released version of 0.4.4.

Thx Krich. I did tried and use the 0.4.4 version and it works ok (although it still produces an error but at least it doesnt crash the client).

However I dont have the smooth movement I had with the TCS's version, so I guess only way to come over it is to fix it myself :shock:

Any particular reason i cant download the npcmov db using Mozilla or wget? Comes through as 1kb, and corrupt. IE downloaded it fine though..
