I can log in but once i click enter world....
 

I can log in but once i click enter world with my character it starts loading then sends me back to the log in page? whuts wrong?


Plz dont replay and say why dont u serce all the other posts of people with this same problem!!! Because if i knew in the 100 some odd posts I woulda.. So if there is a post with the answer plz just link me 2 it.. plz.

I don't know the answer to the question, but some more info may help those that do ...

Are you trying to login to your own server or a public one ?
If public, do you have the same problem on all servers ?
What version is the server you are trying to login to ... 4.4, 5.0DR2 ?
What date did you last patch your EQ client ?
Have you been able to login to this server before ? If so, have you changed anything since then, patched, etc.

Im trying to log into a public server.

Im running 5.0

last patch date hmm a guess at the beginning of this month..

I used to have 4.4 but i could never log into any thing then ither and no one would help me so i updated to 5.0 and ive gotten more progress on the test servers...

I cant try a nother server because most are locked and there is only one open and still testing...

There are 8 people on it right now and its open to the public.

Im useing eqw to log in and its a pain! but i mostly have it working..

I have my character made for that server but when i click enter world button it starts loading screen but then takes me back to the connect to server screen were u have to put in name and password?

I'm assuming you are trying to connect to Merth's 5.0 DR3 Florida Server, as that is the only 5.0 server that I see up atm. I have never played on that server before, but I just created a half-elf ranger there and could logon fine. I patched that directory yesterday, so maybe it is worth trying to patch to EQlive and try again.

Other than that i don't know, sorry. Maybe Merth, or someone else who has played a bit on that server may have some suggestions for you :)

You need to wait till all the bugs are worked out and DR3 is officialy done. Once that happens you will get a lot of help, right now all the people with the answers are busy working on getting EMU current with live.

u were right i was more outa date than i thought i was!!

Well all servers are curently locked on 5.0 but i think when one does a test and opens i might be able to actualy get in now...

Miz, if you wanna stop useing EQW, here's what ya need to do to play in full screen...Make a shortcut on yer desktop to the eqgame.exe prog in your EQEmu folder; right click the icon an pull down the menu; click Properties; int eh field that says "Target" highlight all the text, then press the right arrow on your keyboard; hit your spacebar one time and type in the phrase "patchme" without the quotes around that phrase; click apply; now instead of opening up EQW, just click that icon and it will bypass the patcher for EQLive and just start runnin the game!
