Weird LD issues

Whenever I connect to a server I can only be on it for a mere amount of seconds before I go Linkdead to Character Select screen.

I dont know whats causing this I use a V.90 modem (Faster than 56K) and My ram and sys specs are up to par with the game I dont see the problem?

you should get ADSL if you want to play on other peoples servers
becuase it uses alot of bandwidth lol i could be wrong tho

I have 128up\256down and i still go LD on the servers

A long shot, but a possibility ... See if your modem is sharing an IRQ with your video card. This happened to me a while back. I had my Video Card and Network Card on the same IRQ after installing WinXP (failed to notice that initially) and everytime I'd enter a graphically-intense part of EQ (Say, Bazaar on EQLive) my lag would spike hard.

Have you tried changing the datarate in eq?

lol if you go LD on your own local server then you did something wrong. I can play on my 233Mhz with 64MB of RAM and wont go LD on my server..

Yes, i nwould upload mine, but eqemu doesnt have the attacht button anymore. Oh well, just make a text and name it DataRate. Inside typ 5.0 ( default) or make it 8.0 .
