1017 and the wonders it brings.
 

Hello, well I've browsed the forum here for a good 2 hours searching for an answer to my 1017 problems and I've yet to find one. They all seem to point towards a client not being updated to the most current version.

My client is completely up-to-date, as I am aware because I played on Live a bit this morning, heh.

I have been succesful in joining Aquelin's Beta Testing server, but every other server I've tried has hit me with a 1017, except eqserver.com, which boots me upon character selection.

I have tested this on two computers which are on the same network, both running Windows XP Proffesional with the XP-firewall disabled. They both use up-to-date clients, but I am having the same problems on each machine.

Are there any ports I should clear for my machines via the router?
Anyone else having this type of problem? If so, any known fixes? Thanks in advance!

Has to do with 5.0DR3 being a Developer Reliece. There working,out the bugs just give them time.

Thought that might have been one of the reasons, but I couldn't understand how all the other people were able to join the servers but I wasn't =/

I crash on some servers and not on others just like you do, most likly the people on those other servers crash on the servers we can get on /shrug
