Would it be possable to take the quest data from Allakhazam's web site and create an automated program to convert that into quest script files? For The item hand ins it could search the item data base for the item listed in the quest and get the item numbers. All of the spoken text is in quotes like .. NPCX says" ......" You say "......." NPCX says "......" Should be able to teach a program to look for those spots and convert that to the text data for the script. Similar idea for Item hand ins. Just an Idea... They seem to have an almost complete list of all quests and the mobs / npcs/ zones and items involved.

I'm no devoloper but that sounds like a great idea!

well, on a serious note though, i think it would be next to impossible. There are too many variable things for each quest. If it was set up more orderly than in paragraph form (like having everything set out in bullets step by step) it may be easier... I was thinking of having a VB prog run through with InStr func. finding whatever it is you need to find, like say find Who: then go a number of spaces forward and there is the name string. I didnt look at the html for ala's website so i dont know if that would work right but, from there you would set that string to a VB txt string: strWHO and once you get all the info, send strWHO to whatever it would be called in the DB.

But it gets all very sloppy when you need to find out what to hand in, spawn times, etc... it would cause some big problems.
