They are getting there own server which is not overcrowded, supposedly better customer service, and more gm events.
And what about the people who can't afford 40 bucks a month? Sure Id love to be on that server but I got bills to pay, girlfriend to keep happy, etc etc. I mean 40 bucks a month is alot of money. Just cause a person can't pay 40 bucks a month for a game don't mean they shouldn't be involved in the beta testing of a new game.
What about the people who have been with eq since beta and have spent hundreds of dollars in fee's and expansions? Almost every EQ player has been loyal to Verent despite the constant bugs, increase in price, sub-par customer service, rude gm's, etc. Like most beta's they should go by your system specs so they can test it on various systems. Not by the wad of money in your wallet!
I know when the Beta of Warcraft III was released they choose the players by the specifications of there pc. A good gaming company does this so when the final version is released they can see how it works on various pc's.
And on the banks yes that would be nice, but what happens when your in Freeport and you see PAYING WELL FOR BLAHBLAH and there is somebody paying double what its worth. Oh but wait its in the bank 8 zones away not the bank that is 1 zone away. Then you have to remember which bank has what items. I agree my bank is full of junk also, but Id rather have it full of junk then have to search bank after bank trying to find where I put it.
