've tried everything from reinstalling eq client and dling and using the playing guide to try to get eqemu to run , my shortcut:
"C:\Program Files\Sony\EverQuest\eqgame.exe" patchme is not working for me. its gives me error eqgame.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience. and the host file is correct. i AM using the everquest.exe icon to do the shortcut and there are 2 others i've tried-none work.

i have no idea what is wrong and i would like to help get rid of this problem of sorts.
I tried this emulator at a friends house that had eq and it worked just fine.
