Yes and only use the shortcut you creat as per the instructions in the tutorials, using the "patchme" at the end of the target of the shortcut. Folowing the tutorials should keep you from patching.
And always to be safe burn your working version of EQ to dvd or a series of cd's, a couple of times hehe.
