I had my puter off for a few minutes. I am using winME, I am absulutely certain its a hub. My ISP has assigned me 2 IP addresses. Each computer gets its own adress that way. I got the extra IP address and hub specifically because it was cheaper than getting a router, and my friend that works at ISP got me second IP for free
thats why I am certain its a hub. Try pinging again. I have bypassed the hub and am now directly into the modem.
BTW.... the IP adress stated in above posts is bogus. Here's my real one. (sorry, not knowledgable enough to know whats safe info to give out and what isnt) 24.81.180.28
