I think I may have an issue with my cd-rom, because I noticed a couple of the files were different on her computer than were on mine, so I copied and pasted those files and it works fine now on my machine. If you have a working install on one PC, you can drag and drop the whole thing to the other PC, then make the shortcuts - EQ does not need to be installed.
Make sure you have the DirectX 9.0c (or what ever they call it ) installed.
