yes i do have a router, and i think the trouble is i am using the default 127.0.0.1 or whatever it was, which in my networking class they said its a loopback ip and is not used when connecting to the internet. hince the tcp error? my sql has given me errors everytime i installed it saying i cant config it due to the fix there is a old data base and i must use my old password, which is the same everytime, so i am thinking that could be a problem aswell, i brought up some of my ideas in /ooc on another server and i had many people response in all good ways, and want to beta test my sever when its running, my ideas would be very in depth so it would take me a long time to work it out, but i know once i figure out the coding part the content part which is where i excel will be one of the best. I hope someone can help get me started so i can stop dreaming and start doing. since 1999 i wanted my own eq server now its time for me to do it, if i can not, then hopefully someone else can use my ideas. Its more detailed and more custom world, but still holds true to the everquest feel. i even have other designers and gms aswell as beta testers at my door LOL just the setup is getting in the way HAHAHA
