This could be any number of problems, but Windows XP 64 is simply a nightmare for gaming. Everquest is very picky about the system its played on and it actually runs much better on a single core processor. Have you tried using one of those affinity programs that allows you to push an application to just one core? I found that helps a lot, and EQ can run on one core with no problem. Also how are you splitting the screens? Does your video card have dual output, or are you using another video card for the secondary? like maybe an onboard video card? that would make a huge difference. Check those things and let us know.
