There is no "available" zones. The 5 "zone servers" that boot5zones.bat loads up are sleeping, and awaken as soon as anyone logs in or zones. You can see which zones are running by typing #zonestatus in-game. This would list the zones and sleeping zones currently running. If you see 1 or more sleeping zones, then it is safe to zone. If there is no sleeping zones (all 5 are taken up by 5 differant zones), then you cannot zone to a zone not on that list or else it will boot you.
The problem with crashing/getting booted is probably not the lack of available zones, but is a known bug that was never fixed.
Remember, 0.3.4 was given out AS-IS and has several known crash/disconnect bugs. No eta on 0.3.5 (we need more coders!!)
