Anyone have any constructive feedback on these ideas? The PVP system will work like this, so people don't get turned off from it:
There will be contested PVP zones. You will not have to enter them, the gear is the same quality as PVE zones. There will be PVP rewards, however, from the PVP zones that give PVE-quality gear.
If you do not want to go into a contested area, simply don't.
In PVE zones you can still group with opposing faction members. All interaction with opposing faction members is dropped when you enter a contested PVP zone, minus chat. To prevent exploitation, there will be a recent PVP kill timer on people when you kill them. This means that every 15 minutes you can get PVP points from the person you killed again.
This server will be treating PVP as an optional thing and not the primary goal, but that's how the system will work.
Also, depending on race, you will start in a different city. It is purple (good) versus red (Evil). You will not be able to use anon/roleplaying as a result of this.
No bots or boxes on this server. If you want to do that there is plenty of alternatives.
It will be Qeynos vs Freeport with unique lore to each side. Antonica will be the only continent available at launch with expansions being added to add in the other continents. All of the content is custom. Not a single trace of PEQ will be left.
Development starts in about 2 weeks, the remaining time is used for brainstorming.
