Make a copy of your install and move it out of the steam directory(should have done this before but do it now so it doesnt happen again). The spell issue seems to fixed however, you will only be able to play now on servers that are running the latest rev and have the latest opcodes and since the new client isnt fully functional yet you will probably run into many other issues with it.
