The Underfoot client from steam is the only one that works. Amazon's is unsupported. While technically the Underfoot client supports House of Thule zones, it is not a House of Thule client and not any old HoT client will do.
I don't think you can get your money back, and the developers have limited time as it is to get the existing clients working. You can always find the list of supported clients at
