Well, one is a newer laptop. It's running Win7 (came with it installed) and can log in fine (I usually box, hence the desire for 2 machines).
The windows firewall is disabled, kaspersky anti-virus running on both and has Everquest enabled as a pass through.
I had titanium installed from CDs on the laptop, but downloaded an underfoot client from a torrent for the laptop later (purely for eqemu).
I lost the CDs a while ago in a house move, but have thought just copying over the EQemu folder from the laptop should have been OK, provided I did the usual things with the short cut etc.
The laptop came with DX 11 installed, Vista installed DX 10. Both have had the DX9.0c redistribution run on them.
Not sure on any other differences apart from hardware that may be significant. Both machines are connected to the same router, via cat5 rather than wireless etc. (laptop can connect via wireless, but tends to get a bit of interference and unreliable connection if I stay on it for too long).
