The nonlegit users need to keep in mind that many of us no longer maintain eqLive accounts anymore, so having legit servers to us is a matter of gameplay, not just exploration. I understand why an eqLive player would be interested in using eqemu as a exploration tool/goofing off application, but thats not the entire community. In fact, from what I have seen, the widespread vote from the eqemu users is that they would like to see more Legitimate servers being formed and kept up. The potential is vast for new and exciting content, dynamic gameplay, fun quests, and a million other things. Personally, I dont see the point in having more than a handfull of nonLegit servers out there, in my mind, one would be just as good as the other, you can do the same thing everywhere.

Not putting down the server type, but I think the misunderstanding is that live players have the live servers for legitimate gameplay, but not everyone does. I gave up my eqLive account a year ago as it was entirely too much of a resource hog in my life..

I can understand the desire for both types, but in the end, it's up to the users to make the servers, if our idea was to make all servers legit, we would remove the ability to perform nonlegit functionality.

Personally, speaking as a dev, we don't care. We will only care if a user comes to the forums because he is dissatisfied with the way people have decided to do things on their own and begins to flame members of the community.. We just code it, we dont care how you play it, just enjoy it, and be respectful on the forums.

Also, I disagree with using GREEN servers as Legitimate or production level servers. In my mind, green should designate a DEVELOPMENT server, and one that is prone to bugs and bounces.
I put my server up all the time and forget to lock it to have people logging in, then I feel guilty when I have to bounce them off to put a new build up...lol..
I think we need to specify I new server type by color on the select screen that represents PERSISTANT/LEGIT gameworlds..... Hmm.. Might be something good to investigate with Hogie and the guys...
