I had this same problem. downloading older versions of the file dosn't seem to work so this is what I did. uninstall everquest and EQEmu patcher and delete the directories. install everquest and the EQEmu patcher and run the regular everquest patcher to get the latest updates. then copy this file over your old eqhost.txt file
http://www.eqemu.net/eqhost.txt in the your everquest directory and then run the EQEmu patcher, it should work after that.
