Default Bugged you could say
Pets are hardcoded, and yes the mage pets are gimped beyond belief.

Mage epic pet stats are as follows:
HP: 3000
Min-Dmg: 1
Max-Dmg: 25

it should be more like:
HP: 4300
Min-Dmg: 60
Max-Dmg: 83
