just letting you guys know that i fixed the problem, so you don't have to post anymore
sure, i fixed it... cuz my hard drive FRIED!!!!!! stupid thanks-for-letting-me-know HP never told me the hard drive was recalled. it died so i had to start from scratch. but it's ok. they replaced my 40 gig with a 60 gig
