There is alot of forums out there for 1017, it can mean alot of things and theres alot of ways to fix it.

1. you have the wrong version
2. if its your server type in the grant command
3. your server isnt the same one you have or u loaded the wrong database
4. you went into eqadmin and you typed in your account and granted your account at the same time, just delete your account in eqadmin it will add it in automatically.
