I logged in this morning, mad as @#$@ that I noticed nothing but level 65 characters all twinked up, the #motd changed (with someone assuming they had gm privs.), item stats were screwed with and someone used #lock. I decided legit was the way to go... it means more anyway.. what's the point of logging on, twinking yourself for 20 minutes... zoning to an uber zone then using #kill ? nothing.. you just get bored really quick and log off (not what the server is intended for).
Granted, in addon.ini - you can surely change this (and everything else), but people had some demand for high level stuff they'd never dream of seeing in eqlive (because they'd never spend the time making the pp to buy these things).
I'm not griping, i'm just acting. The server, if it appears to be running, will now say LOCKED next to it, instead of "12, 15 or even 20". Do you want a server to play on? I suggest learning how to get a cvs checkout, compile source, and most importantly -- know the db well enough to make changes as they happen (and they happen a lot).

Well, if you give everyone power to use these commands, how can you really be pissed if they do? :p
Or if you didn't, I'll just take a wild shot and say that you probably recruited a bad GM.
