It's probably your router that doesn't allow the tcp paths. Go to your preferences (linksys common is 192.168.2.1 pass - admin) and port forward the tcp and udp paths to your internal ip... or just dmz it

On my D-Link I DMZ'd the IP for my server then I run the free version of ZoneAlarm on that server to keep it protected, it works great.
