I also did searches for various gm, flag, 255, and status combinations and never found the answer. I searched several times for it.
Your answer:
Easiest way to do it is to open the database and go to the accounts table. Find your account and in the status column change 0 to 255.
In game you can flag someone else (after you have gm access yourself) by typing: flag <statuslevel> <accountname> (or maybe I have statuslevel and accountname reversed. I usually do everything in the db...try either way)
