Default Questions from an Emu-Noob

I just created an account a couple weeks ago, so I've been hit with the problem about not being able to log in. However, I do check back here every few days to see whether a fix has been made. In reading the posts made on these forums, I'd estimate at least 50% of the posts are made with a "screw you, you ignorant noob" attitude. Another 25% of the posts are "you posted in the wrong forum, you idiot!".

Do most of the players in-game display this type of behavior? I realize we will always have a few of these people to deal with in life, but I really don't care to be on a server where half the people you meet are jackasses. To be completely honest and blunt, I just want to know whether it's worth waiting on a fix for the login problem.

At the risk of posting in the wrong forum, has anyone heard an estimate on how long before there is a fix? The last thing I read was "anywhere from a week to several months".
