Default Character missing items after logging out.

Hi,

I'm running a fresh install of the current Windows server build. The only settings I've changed was to disable the Tutorial and to disable expansions after PoP.

I'm running into an issue on my lvl 7 Vah Shir BST where armor is disappearing after I camp out and log back in. I've had several cloth armor drops disappear after camping out. This happened whether it was equipped or just in a bag.

I tested this with a recent cloth armor drop. I camped/logged back in and the armor was still equipped. I then shut the server down. When I started the server back up and logged in, the armor was gone.

Any ideas what could be causing this?

Thanks

Gonna sound dumb but, get that same cloth armor and just check it to make sure its not temporary items like water summoned from a mage. If its tagged as a summoned or temporary item, then it would be a problem in the DB with the items being tagged wrong.

Don't play with a GM Account.

Make sure to actually camp.
Don't /quit or /exit, doing that and shutting down the server you may lose your progress since it was lasted saved.

@Thalix - why not play with a GM account? It works fine.

I believe you are right. Doh, I never thought about newbie cloth armor being temporary. I looked up one of the items (Xakra Kel Shirt) on Allakhazam and it is indeed temporary.

I don't remember seeing temporary in-game but maybe I overlooked it. I'm going to get another one to drop and verify.

Thanks for all the replies. It's been a while since I've played EQ and forgot all about Temporary/No Rent items.
