View Full Version : Updated faction table (for 0.8 world data)

After constantly being chased all over Freeport by orcs, I decided to modify the faction table in my world data so that guards and other citizens will help you out. Guards, shopkeepers etc. now have a faction of 1500 (allied) with players of the appropriate race (i.e Qeynos/Freeport are allied with humans and half-elves, Kelethin with High and Wood elves, etc.) and if they see something attack you they'll USUALLY help you out (some guards don't always, I've no idea why.) This can be a great help if you're a level-1 character and have run into an Orc Centurion in the depths of the Faydark! (assuming you can get to the guards in time).
Hope other people find this useful.
To the developers - would it be possible to make monsters killed by NPCs vanish instantly? (as in EQLive)? Currently it's very easy to exploit this system by luring tough monsters to guards and getting the money and loot from them.
