<meliudaj2> >>>TacoGrande<<< I'm asking you to re-read the README that comes with 3.1.1 and follow it close. Then ask your question. (as I think it will be answered)
<TacoGrande> i did, well i ran the public something.exe and it says failed to connect to databese: error: unknow mysql server host 'eqlogin.eqemu.net than another error was error in loadworldlist query 'select id, account name, name, admin_id, ect
<ice^storm> uh
<ice^storm> your mysql host isnt eqlogin.eqemu.net
<ice^storm> your mysql host is 127.0.0.1
<ice^storm> or whatever box u are running on ur network for the server
<TacoGrande> for the server coulndt i just use the eqemu.net thing they have
<ice^storm> uhm
<ice^storm> no lol
<ice^storm> because all the information for your server must be kept in a local database
<ice^storm> for speed and security n stuff
<ice^storm> so when people login there not running through 5 or 6 hops just 1
<ice^storm> point your db.ini to 127.0.0.1 for host
<ice^storm> and then the mysql user/pass so it can access it
<TacoGrande> o ic how it works now
<ice^storm> u are running mysql arent ya?

<ice^storm> Taco: Mysql is a database program, you need to download it in order to run a server
<ice^storm> and that has shit all to do with you havin XP
<ice^storm> setting up a server is easy as hell, Download Mysql, install it, download EQEmu, copy the db.sql to c:mysqlin
<ice^storm> run mysql.exe
<ice^storm> wait no
<ice^storm> run winmysqladmin
<ice^storm> then create a new database called eq
<ice^storm> then run mysql.exe
<ice^storm> use eq
<ice^storm> source db.sql
<ice^storm> setup your server on loginserver.ini
<ice^storm> download eqadmin
<ice^storm> setup your server
<ice^storm> couldnt be easier
<TacoGrande> and than ill be able to connect to the eqemu server
<ice^storm> ...
<ice^storm> no that would run your own server
<ice^storm> you just want to connect to eqemu's servers??
<TacoGrande> ya would i just change the eqhost.txt
<ice^storm> yeah...
<ice^storm> so
<ice^storm> what are your intentions then
<ice^storm> running a server or playing on custom servers
