I know this has probably been asked before, but after three hours of trying to fix this issue, I'm too exhausted to look anymore. I've edited my EQhost file - repeatedly - to the eqemulator.net:login3 or whatever it is that you recommend fixing 1001 errors with.

The problem is this. The second I actually run the Winters Roar patcher and log in to the game, it resets my EQhost file to the default EQemu thing:

[Registration Servers]
{
"register.eqemulator.net:5999"
}
[Login Servers]
{
"24.174.185.97:5997"
"207.36.180.194:5997"
}

Why is this happening? Am I doing something wrong? Please help, before I quite seriously kick my computer. >_<

Try right-clicking on your eqhost.txt, then properties, then check 'Read Only.'

Might help out.
