Everquest Trilogy DL

ok i downloaded the everquest trilogy (will this effect setting up to login to the eqemulator server?) i edited the eqhost.txt to [LoginServer]
Host=eqemulator.net:5998 and made the shortcut to bypass the patch server once i get into the game i can login with my username/password but there is no servers on the list to connect to. am i missing somthing?

do i need to patch? if so how far...

i also noticed it said i have 0 expansions and i just read somthing about downloading the expansions with the patcher.. is this a necesity?

I patched up to the latest version a few days ago and that seems to work fine, so you could probably try patching up to the latest.

ok so i patched to the latest without downloading the expansions and i got to login screen... about 5 servers show up but i cannot join any says there locked is this just because these servers are down?

having same problem but some say up now just cant connect which im thinking is a result of still being patched to live but who knows nit me thats for sure =)
