I'm running server and client from same computer, computer is hooked up to a router that is hooked up to cable modem if that matters

I'm unable to get past username/password screen, have an account set up in peq database of mysql as: root/root 192.168.0.100

via ipconfig
IP address is 192.168.0.100
Default Gateway is 192.168.0.1

I don't see anything in the logs that say a client tried to connect, but you may not have included it. Looks like the server and all its pieces are running properly. Make sure you don't have a firewall blocking your ports. I'm sort of confused about your user/password of "root/root in the peq database". Does that mean you added a user to the account table of the peq database? Or that you have a user of root/root for the mysql database? Both of them require user/password and hosts. Just want to make sure I understand how you are configured.

Any luck with this panthernos

I am having the exact problem it seems that it is trying to log me into the station. I setup a dummy account on the station to see what happens and it logged me on but through the station, it then asked me if I wanted to buy a subscription.

It looks like my client is not connecting to the minilogin box which is all on the same login box.

Yeah, read the player guide on how to setup your client. You obviously skipped that, or you would never see "the station".

for the client you are only editing the hosts file and running "eqgame patchme" to load eq... does this sound familiar? because if it doesn't then you didn't follow the instructions.
